We can't thank you enough for the adventure trek of a lifetime! We have spent > 40 years backpacking and traveling the globe together and feel pretty qualified to state that the excellent service, support, and value offered by Earthbound Expeditions far exceed, in our opinion, any other agency in the world. Our successful trek to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patar was perfect thanks in large part to the wonderful expertise of our amazing guide, Sudip. Our teahouse accommodations and hotel in Kathmandu were "ultra" cool, the itinerary was ideal, and we had the support every step of the way of the wonderful Earthbound staff from touchdown to take-off. Nepal is, of course, stunningly beautiful and we plan on returning to your land for future treks. Tibet, Bhutan, and beyond are also on our list with Earthbound Expeditions!
We would be happy to answer any questions if potential clients would like to contact us. We can be reached at email@example.com.

We just got back to Maine yesterday (Sunday). We spent a couple of days in New York City seeing our son and daughter-in-law. It was very hard to come home. We had such a wonderful, exciting :) trip with Earthbound. Now, life seems pretty quiet and serene here. Maybe that is good for awhile-ha-ha.
Thank you again for that wonderful lunch at your home too. We had no idea that we were going to have the opportunity to meet your wife, son, and mother! Your wife is beautiful and lovely in every way. No surprise there :)
Of course I will be writing on Trip Advisor (I am a "senior reviewer" but then I think just about everyone is-ha!) and your home page too about our wonderful journey and experiences with Earthbound. I will be also writing a review for both Eco Hotels. Both places are simply the best for rest and relaxation after a trek or any type of touring in Nepal.
Please again greet Gopal and Kaji (hope I have the spelling correct). We owe the success of our trek entirely to them. They were the best!
Don't forget. We are coming for a "three-peat" (a sequel to "repeat"). For us, with Nepal (and Earthbound), twice is not enough!

I hope you are well? I have been home now for five days and the jet lag is finally clearing! I just wanted to write and thank you so much for all your help in organising the details of my trek and communicating so readily with me about details and any little concerns.
I truly had the most wonderful time and really did not want to come home. Rajan, Sabi, Kumar and all the drivers were just a pleasure to deal with and so well informed and full of knowledge about the area. I learned a great deal from the guides about the Nepali culture, history and countryside and I cannot wait to return one day with my family. Sabi in particular was a great companion for the trek and I really think he made my holiday so fantastic.
I cannot thank you and earthbound expeditions enough for making my trip so easy and stress free, I had an amazing time and will be recommending you to all my friends and family if they are going to visit the area.
Thank you again

After we came back home we browsed our thousands photo we made in this wonderful trip.
We both want to express our deeply respect and many thanks for organizing such a amazing experience for us.
Without knowing you, only based on the testimonials and TripAdvisor recommendation we are so blessed to experience 3 weeks in this trip.
I have to admit we had to face unexpected challenges, but we allways were prevented by you or your crew and overall we felt always "protected".For example, we met other group of tourists in India to take the train to Varanasi and the guide left them in the station without checking the train availability... Our guide left us only after he took our baggages in the train to be sure we are safe.
We very much appreciated that even the last day when our tour ended when we took the plane from Lhasa to Kathmandu, we had to spend around 4 hours to Kathmandu between the flights. You organized someone to pick us up from the airport in Kathmandu and after 4 hours transfer us back to the airport as an extra service without us asking for it…
It was very nice organized, we experienced many in those 3 weeks: train un India, bus in Nepal and mostly Tibet - an unforgetable experience. Very good and interesting accomodation places (like we had in Tibet - authentic).
We want to encourage others to choose your services. We are open you to disclose even our e-mail address if someone does need our direct feedback on this.
Thanks a lot and wish you to bring satisfaction to many adventurers to come!
With deep respect,
I took a trip to Nepal in October 2014, including a trek of Tsum Valley and another couple of weeks split between Pokhara and Kathmandu. Rajan at Earthbound Expeditions managed every aspect of my trip perfectly -- from the day tours to the hotels, jeep transports, internal flights, and an excellent local guide from the Tsum Valley. He was flexible when I wanted to make changes to my itinerary in the middle of the trip, and he met with me personally several times during the Kathmandu portion of my trip. I could not have asked for a better experience. I chose Earthbound Expeditions because a co-worker has used the company three times previously for her trips/treks in Nepal, Bhutan and India. The people I trekked with in Tsum have also used Earthbound twice before, and this was their third time. That says it all. Thank you, Rajan!
“Wonderful Nepal Experience!”
We recently returned from a fantastic Nepal trip thanks to Earthbound Expeditions!
Rajan organised a great tour, perfectly matched to our requirements, all seamlessly executed.
Right from the first emails, we were impressed by the prompt and welcoming response to our enquiries and liked the way Rajan worked with us to tailor the itinerary to our needs, making some great suggestions.
As novice trekkers, our guide Ratna and our two porters looked after our family extremely well. They were friendly, professional and informative, providing us with a wonderful experience together with the backdrop of such stunning scenery.
Our thanks to everyone who assisted us on our trip and made it such a memorable time. We would not hesitate in recommending Earthbound Expeditions and look forward to our next visit to Nepal!
“Mountain and Tiger 12 day Tour”
Since I am 60 years old my wife and were a little nervous about the physical demands of this tour. I followed the training recommendations and was rewarded with a fantastic trip. I won't repeat the other reviews which are so positive that one would expect they might be fake. Trust me this organisation babies you the whole way leaving you to enjoy the hike, the food, the scenery and the wonderful people. Here are some tips. Go in October which is sunny and warm.Take the rafting option. Use hand santizer often. Bring power bars. Bring aqua tabs and flavored electrolyte tablets. Bring flip flops and micro fibre towels. Use zip lock bagsto separate your items. Bring a emergency poncho as well as a thin water proof jacket. I would allow two days n Katmandu prior to the tour and take a day tour of the city but leave the day the tour ends. The tiger hunt part of this tour was especially interesting as we stayed in a nice resort in Chitwan park and actually herded a nasty rino on while riding the elephants. If you like adventure -- take this tour. We paid $900.00 us each
“Excellent trekking tour!”
This was my first time in Nepal.
A 10 days trekking tour with earth bound expeditions.
Mr Rajan and his team made it to be absolutely amazing time.
Pick up at airport, hotel in kathmandu and pokhara were good, guesthouse and transfer good. You felt welcome at first moment.I came alone from Norway, but no worry I met a great crew of people.
We were10 people from different parts of the world, and also different ages, we hang together up in the Nepali mountains plus our guide Apar and three porters.
Our guide Apar Datta Pant was so friendly and helpful he did awesome job organizing, you felt safe and good with him around. The porters did a great job too, keep up with our luggage, always smiling and friendly. Ramjee Bhatta who saw the moment when we need a song to keep going and hanging in there, very friendly, helpful and service minded.
All together this team provided me with a never forgotten trip BRAVO it was great!
Thank you all, a professional and dedicated staff.
I cant wait to come back and see more of Nepal.
I definitly recommended this trip and with Rajan and his staff in earthbound expedition!

We have just arrived home today and have very fond memories of our amazing time in Nepal. Too short however and I am very keen to return to your beautiful country and explore culture places and people's some more. I am very impressed with the organisation of your operation and despite the difficult challenges you are faced with, power, resources, restrictions and I'm sure much more, I never had a problem.
Your guides were fantastic and especially Namaraj, who was ours. He did an expert job of creating a team dynamic, ensuring we were together as a well bonded group, safe and provided for, physically and culturally. He is a natural leader and earns the respect of all thirteen of us I believe. He had professional style all of his own and his talks at the end of the day were a feast of information, history, culture, philosophy and ecology. The porters Mr Ram, Kumar, Modan, and Bishnu, ( hope I spell those right) were amazing and I have a deep respect for the Nepalese people for their friendliness, strength, stamina and pride.
I will not hesitate to recommend your company to any who are keen venture to Nepal and I will post on any sites such as trip advisor that I can. Thank you and your hard working team to make this experience one of a life time that will never be forgotten.

I came back from the trip to Nepal few days ago and would like to say a big thank you for the great time I could spend there.
Your staff was really very professional and let me say that especially Narendra proved his professionalism not only as an experienced guide but also a very good organizer and people manager.
His helpers Arjun Sigdel, Ganesh Gajurel, Anil Tamang, Kumar Phuyal and Babulal were also not only our porters and kept us company during the trek so everybody could walk at their own pace and still felt really safe and supported, but each evening they also served us dinner, and also entertain us which contributed to the great feeling I have about Nepal in general. I can't thank enough to express how I feel.
I would strongly recommend your company and also these guys to anybody interested in trekking in Nepal. I wish you success and all the best.Thank you and kind regards,

We really liked having a group of all women and especially older women. We called out group "Super C's!" We were slow, but we all made it!!
I can't say enough about our guide, Resham, and our 4 Supporters. They took wonderful care of us; just like sons!
I wanted to send you a couple of photos that I thought you might like to have.

In Dec 2013, Hollywood Film actor and Philanthropist Alex Kruz was in Nepal and we organised his tour and this is what he wrote in trip advisor review.
He spent his time with Blind Children at orphange where NIBDA is taking care of these Childrens. On December 8th, 2013 Alex Kruz was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador on behalf of NIBDA (The Nepal Integrated Blind Development Association) for the Americas
This is what he wrote about us ...
This year for my birthday I wanted to go to Kathmandu to help children with disabilities and without parents. It's become somewhat of a yearly tradition for me to help such children - it is my gift to myself, but not knowing anyone in Nepal I did a bit of research and eventually found Earthbound Expeditions headed up by the extremely intelligent, warm, and dynamic Rajan Simkhada. I was extremely impressed by how quickly he responded to my messages at all times of day and even more so when I found out how busy he was with civic and community projects aimed at improving life for the Nepali people and giving back. Their Ganesh Himal Charity trip was a wonderful idea but like so many people today with very little time I did not have the amount of time necessary to do take this tour. I explained to Rajan my situation and what I wanted to do and he custom made an itinerary to accommodate my wishes. I was sincerely impressed with his staff such as Shreeram Adhikari who outside of trekking up to the earth's highest point was assisting in the civic and community projects to aid Nepalese people. Rajan and Shree along with the rest of their staff did everything possible to make my trip to Nepal my favorite one to date. I accomplished all I set out to do and more. In a country with more spirit and kindness than money or infrastructure this is a HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT! I would HIGHLY Recommend Earthbound Expeditions to ANYONE seeking to visit the beautiful country of Nepal, India, Bhutan, or any other area they service.
Best Regards, Alex Kruz - Hollywood star

Thank you for your email. All is well here. I had a fabulous time in Nepal and enjoyed my time and the trek so much. Earthbound Expeditions did a wonderful job providing a safe, fun, and adventurous journey. I did write a review to tripadvisor ( on Tripadvisor I am Luv2travel1627). Your staff of guides and porters (I was in group B) are amazing and very capable people. Gopal did such a great job....he is calm, knowledgeable, organized, and fun to be with. Our porters, including Sarki, Anil, Ram, Krishna were terrific and very inspiring. Mr. Sarki is a favorite!
I would love to return to Nepal again, perhaps to do the Langtang trek. When I begin to plan a trip, I will be in touch with you. Thanks to Tarek, too, for helping us prepare for the trip efficiently.
Wishing you all the best. You have put together a wonderful organization. Be proud and continue to do such great work.

We are back home, but already missing Nepal. As you could probably tell, we fell in love with ... everything. Thank you for making such a wonderful trip for us. It was amazing. We are world travelers, but this adventure has to be at the top of our favorites. The service you provided was outstanding. We are now cooking Nepal food & dressing in our Napali clothes for our family & friends. We all also have our prayer flags flying! Maybe what surprised us the most was all the things we were able to do because we were not able to trek. It all worked out so well...thanks to you!
I have put following review in trip advisor, you can also put in your website also! ..
My husband & I just returned from 5 weeks in Nepal and Bhutan. Can’t say enough “good stuff “ about Rajan and Earthbound. The trip was absolutely wonderful. Rajan worked with us when we needed to adapt the itinerary (not once but twice), reassured us everything would be fine & always kept us safe. The guides he provided were outstanding. Ram, who introduced us to the wonderful world of Nepal at the start of the trip in Kathmandu, was a true gentleman. His vast knowledge (I think he could teach a college course in Buddhism) and love of the country was evident to us. Pema, who showed us various sites in Bhutan & accompanied us on the Druk Path camping trek, was always there to keep our comfort levels high. As world travelers who seek to experience and immerse ourselves into a place, not just simply see it, this trip exceeded our expectations. Our accommodations were excellent yet, the cost reasonable. Those prices wouldn’t have been possible if we were making our own reservations. I guess the most amazing part was the fact that Rajan made all the arrangements with ease. His network is so vast that 11 different hotels & numerous guides & drivers across 2 countries did not pose any problem for him. Each detail was worked out perfectly. Also helpful was the clout his name held. All we did was mention his name at a hotel where we had an issue & it was immediately settled to our satisfaction. That type of influence cannot be underestimated. We cannot thank Earthbound enough for giving us an outstanding experience that captured the heart and spirit of Nepal & Bhutan.

This is what he wrote on trip advisor....
My wife and I joined an Earthbound Expeditions group on the Everest Base Camp trek. The trek extended over 16 days which included a guided day tour of Kathmandu historical sights before departing for Lukla and a further day in Kathmandu at the end of the trek for a farewell dinner which unfortunately was cancelled due to our inability to leave Lukla as planned due to bad weather. We cannot speak too highly of the Rajan (who runs the company) and his guides and porters. Everyone to a person was professional, knowledgeable and bent over backwards to help us if we needed it. We were accommodated in tea houses during the trek and while basic these were very comfortable. Some other companies were using tents and we were so glad we had a roof over our heads even if rather basic. The food was basic, which is to be expected in such remote locations, but wholesome. The company is very safety conscious and we were all tested for blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen levels once we reached 4,000 metres. One person was sent back to Kathmandu when it became evident his oxygen levels were very low and potentially life threatening. The trek was not easy and we lost a considerable amount of weight in the process. Each day was spent trekking so we had very little free time except from late afternoon to early evenings (we would generally go to bed at 7.30 to 8 pm as we were so tired). When we returned to Lukla there had not been any aircraft departures for several days and accommodation was at a premium. As the days wore on and very few aircraft were able to make it the accommodation and airline seats started to be subject to bribes and queue jumping. Fortunately trekking with a large reputable company has its benefits as our accommodation had been pre-booked and was rolled over despite no bookings as we stayed on waiting for a departing aircraft. Similarly we were able to get priority bookings on departing aircraft but this was not of any benefit in the end as very few aircraft were able to make it and the company finally chartered a large helicopter to guarantee our return to Kathmandu so that we did not miss our international flights. We had heard rumours of helicopter seats going for double what we paid but Earthbound were able to keep our seats.
We booked the Poon hill trek and had a wonderful wonderful time with our guide Ram and our porter Gopal. Right from the start when we met the owner Rajan we felt that we were in the hands of pros.
Our guide Ram had 16 years of experience in trekking, had run the Mt. Everest marathon was certified in first aid and was also a certified chef. He was warm, cheerful and extremely knowledgeable about the terrain and the culture and made our trekking experience a memorable one.
In addition, when we met and talked to other Trekkers we also realized that the price that was offered to us was the best anyone else had received.
I highly highly recommend this trekking company and wish them luck for the future and hope to see hem soon again!!

I can't say enough great things about Earthbound Expeditions. Our experience with them was absolutely wonderful. Rajan was very responsive to all our questions when we were planning our trip and was so welcoming when we arrived. They made sure that we made the most of our time in Nepal, and we managed to cram in so much sight-seeing in the three days that we were there (we did a 12-day India/Nepal tour). I would love to go on one of their Nepal trekking tours or a Nepal/Bhutan tour and will definitely book through Earthbound again. Additionally, I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family. Great, great experience!
Earthbound took care of my family and made sure we experienced the best Nepal had in short period of time. This organization knows how execute an itnerary while maintaining a reasonable cost to the customer. Rajan was responsive and thorough while we organized the trip via email. Shree, Ganesha & Suress trekked us seamlessly about a portion of the ABC route. Rafting was a blast...canoe safari awesome...elephant safari cool...city tour educational...can't say enough. Earthbound rocks and we will utilize their services in Nepal and other countries in the future. Namaste.

Namaste Rajan !!!
Thanks for your e-mail, once again you proved your exquisite personal attention to us.
We had a long way back home to Barcelona, reaching our city as expected at 22:30 in the night. Only a problem with our luggage at Heathrow (London). Our flight connection was so short (1h 30') and our luggage could not be transfer to our flight to Barcelona on time. Any case, the very next day, we had our bags delivered at home. So all in all no problem with it.
What to say about our Mustang trip? Almost impossible to put that in words. Amazing, incredible, unbelievable, funny and of course enlightening... Nepal has been a wonderful experience that we will keep in our hearts and minds forever.
Of course we will provide a good feedback about Earhtbound Expeditions services at TripAdvisor for they were excellent.
Also, in a few days we will upload some pictures of our trekking. We will let you know.
Finally, we would like to mention the splendid job your boys did for us. Sudip, Gokul, Arjun, Krishna and Kharma made an absolutely excellent job and made our trekking experience a matter of joy. We had to think about nothing but enjoying every single minute of our trek as they take care of the rest. Wish you can give our most sincere regards to them. You can feel really proud of them.
Further, just know that we will encourage our friends and colleagues to get to know Nepal as your country is a must-see place in this world. The beauty of your mountains, valleys, rivers and landscapes is only comparable to the pureness of your hearts. And of course, we will spread the word about your company as your professionallity and excellence has been more than proved.
"Nepal once is not enough..." After our return is very easy to fully understand that sentence. Hopefully our lifes let us visit your country once again.
Biggest regards for you Rajan and your team, and thanks a lot for everything you did for us.

Dear Team at Earthbound,
To piggy back on my aunt’s feedback below, I very much concur. This trek was the most incredible experience of my life. The sites, duration, views, pace on the trek were perfect.
I never felt afraid or lost under the direction and guidance of Namaraj. I felt very secure in every aspect of our trek with him as our guide. A question directed towards him never went unanswered and there was never a solution he couldn’t come to for any dilemma. He even contacted us in Kathmandu after we departed Pokhara to make sure our bus trip went well and our needs were met at Thamel Eco. He led us all our trek days with the calmest of demeanors. I really feel he was destined/born to do what he does for the company.
The porters were also a dream. They and Namaraj really made the trip.
They were all very kind and true professionals.
I’ll be recommending Earthbound to colleagues, family and friends as well.

Hello Earthbound Expeditions,
I just wanted to tell you that everything went well with our tour to Nepal. I’m writing this to commend a few people that made it possible for me to have an incredible experience.
Namaraj Sapkota – Our guide was very organized and took care of everyone’s needs seamlessly. I felt secure in the knowledge that he was looking after all of us. I never saw him eat, he made sure that each one of us was taken care of. He did all of this with a bright smile. He coordinated the porters so that everyone, at every level and speed had someone to guide them and communicated with the porters via phone and whistles J He made sure we were all up on time, that our food was prepared and served us until each one of us was satisfied. During each day’s trek, he was everywhere, making sure we were all safe. I cannot say enough to commend Namaraj.
The Porters: - Kumar, Bingsem, Sabine, Ujjwal and Gobinda were amazing and earned the group’s admiration for their resilience and willingness to help, always with a bright smile on their faces.
All in all, it was a wonderful Nepal travel experience and I make sure to recommend “Earthbound Expeditions” to my co-workers and friends.

Dear Badri and Rajan
Our Nepal Trip was perfect from start to finish. Everything went smoothly from our arrival in Nepal to our departure on the final day. Thakur was a superb guide and really looked after our group through sickness and in health. Mitch was ill on the first day of the trek, having picked up a bug on his journey from the USA. Thakur adapted our programme to accommodate everyone’s needs. This meant that we were able to have lunch in a local home on the second day of our trek and he always tried to create opportunities for us to meet local people on our travels. Our group wanted to get to know the people and the culture of Nepal....not just clock up miles! Thakur and our two porters Arjan and Thakur were superb. Besides leading our walks, they made sure that our accommodation was good as well as the hygiene standards. We loved dahl bhaat and Thakur told us where and when it would be good. The Helembu Trail was the perfect trek for us as we didn’t waste time at airports and because it was fairly unspoilt and close to Kathmandu. Next time I think we could do higher elevation.
Apart from the trek, the tour of KTM and the cultural meal* at the end were fantastic and wonderful opening and closure to our trip. We all loved our morning in Bhatnapur and our visit to The Garden of Dreams and I would recommend that these be included wherever possible in your trips. The Thamel Eco Resort was very nice, clean and friendly with excellent breakfasts and tea/coffee.
We would all like to return to Nepal and would definitely have Earthbound as our first choice. When is the Adventure Travel Show in London this year? The girls and I want to go again and can see you there.

Stacey and I are doing well, and we did indeed arrive back in Canada with good memories of our trip to Nepal. I am sure all of us will forever remember the spectacular scenery that we saw during our Anapurna panorama trek, and the cultural sights we saw in Kathmandu. Equally memorable was the way that Gutham our guide cared for us during our trek. He, and our two porters, managed to make what could have been an arduous trek for first-timers like us into a walk-in-the-park. Our guide for the cultural sights in the city, Arjun, was very knowledgeable, and gave us detailed answers to all of our questions which was great. Throughout our trip, Rajan, your calm handling of all our extra, and unexpected requests for a doctor, an ambulance and transport all over the city was outstanding and invaluable. You anticipated our needs, make suggestions which made our stay and travels more enjoyable, and you were a pleasure to deal with. We will certainly recommend your services to anybody considering a trip to Nepal. Finally, we wish you luck in your mission to make a difference in Nepal through tourism. If anyone can do it, you can...

To : Mr. Rajan
we have arrived home from Nepal already a month ago. Let me just tell you how very much me and my boyfriend enjoyed the trip with Earthbound Expeditions. The scenery we saw was breathtaking, and despite the exhaustion we sometimes felt the whole team made it easy and enjoyable for us. Our porters, needless to say, were amazing, and, above all, our two guides, Apar Datta Pant and Ramjee Bhata, were especially attentive. Whenever we go back to Nepal we hope to be able to go on a trek with either one of them as a guide. I especially hope to see Ramjee in the position as a team leader next time, he would have earned it! I really enjoyed learning about the Nepalese culture and other things from him, it was great to have someone around that could express these things so as that we could understand them. All in all, I felt very well taken care of and motivated throughout the whole trek!
Keep up the amazing work, everyone!

The deeply enriching experience of Nepal and the journey was due in no small part to our guide Namaraj Sapkota and the wonderful team of Hari, Guardji Sherpa and Naryan.
A natural leader, Nama calmly kept disparate elements of the group together, treating everyone with the utmost respect and compassion. Most nights we also enjoyed Nama's informative after dinner talks. All of the team displayed beautiful qualities of humanity. I feel so privileged to have met them.
Growing up in a remote part of Australia means that I recognise personal bravery and value decisive action when it is required - sometimes it saves lives. Nama demonstrated this when one of the 'cultural tourists' fell while crossing an ice flow. Standing on the edge of a considerable abyss and using his own body to prevent any further slippage, he simply retrieved the person and marched her the last 150 meters to safety. When I could close my mouth I picked my way across a little more gingerly.
Needless to say I want to come back and experience more of your country. Much has been written about the landscape, I will say that although I have traveled quite extensively throughout the world and every country has a unique beauty, nothing compares to the spectacular extremes of Nepal. I felt a deep and pervasive peace being imparted as I walked in the infinite silence. My heartfelt gratitude to Mother Earth and the people of Nepal.

Dear Rajan, Namaste
I would like to thank you for the very professional organisation of our trip in Nepal the Gokyo lake chola pass and Everest base camp trek. You did a great job. We had a wonderful time and your country is amazingly beautiful. We came home with great memories and I already think about visiting Nepal again, the Annapurna region. Rajan, I have some pictures of other trekkers we met in Kathmandu and on the trail
They are from the group that made the Everest Base Camp trail with Earthbound and we've been together with them in the first day of visiting Kathmandu. I only know their first names: Lukas (from Germany), Thais (from Belgium) and Therese (from Australia). Together with them were two little older ladies fom Austraila, who's names I don't remember. Are you kind to give me their emails, so I can send the pictures to them? Or give them my email, so they can contact me. I've agreed with them (when we met on the trail somewhere near Gorak Shep) that we'll get in contact through you.
Thank you in advance and good luck with Earthbound. I'll tell everybody I know about your trekking agency.
Best regards and see you again, hopefully soon,
Monica & Team :) -

Greetings Rajan -
And Namaste once again!
We all hope your season continues to go well and that you are enjoying your wonderful work in Nepal. Most of us are home now and trying to organize our photos so we can share our memories well into the future. The trip with Earthbound Expeditions was definitely a dream come true!
I hope you read my review which just was published on Trip Advisor. I could not say enough good things. But I am also thinking that if you ever need someone to be a US or English speaking reference, please feel free to use me. I would be happy to spread the good words about your organization and I know from experience that communicating with someone who has been on a trip before really helps.
So just let me know if you need any more information from me. I am writing already to several people and agencies I know here to tell them they should be working with you.
Best to you and all your staff...especially Gopal and all our porters.
Many thanks always. We hope to keep in touch.

To Mr. Simkhada (or whom it may concern),
I recently have had the privilege of attending an Earthbound tour under the guidance of "T.P." I use privilege as I felt the utmost "Nepali" experience; I believe, as a result of T.P. as a guide. He posses enthusiasm, integrity, knowledge, skill, motivation and so much more. He encouraged, supported and accommodated all of my needs, as well as fellow travelers. T.P. continued to make myself feel connected to my time on the mountain, while providing peace of mind. I knew all
my needs where taking care of, I did not have to worry once under T.P.s care (porters included).
In addition, the porters who attended my tour; Omar, ......
Where also an amazing part of my experience. They all were extremely
helpful, uplifting and inspiring. Their smiles were felt by my soul.
Including my initial communication with Earthbound, Tarek included,
your company has proven to stand strong. Tarek had been communicating
with me since last November with prompt, informative and timely
information consistently. I am impressed and permanently touched by my
trekking adventure in Nepal.
In closing, I would like to add I seldom make reviews. However, I am a firm believer when a job is well done, it shall not go unsaid. It was a privilege to have T.P. and porters throughout my time in Nepal and will be sure to make recommendations to friends / family about Earthbound Expeditions and most importantly, T.P.
Thank you for your time,
Melissa M. Lowrey

"12 days luxury trekking at age 70 with my guide Shiba"
According to my guide Mr Shiba Annapurna loop is a luxury vacation, a bump in the ground. I take off my hat to Mr Rajan's and Earthbound team to organize this wonderful adventure. If I was 35 or younger I would do this trip every year but at age of 70 I rather climb Mt Everest. I recommend my guide Mr Shiba to any senior citizen that decide to go on this 12 days trekking he made me feel safe and pampered.
In short I had a helluva good time.
Here is another one By Mandy12 day Nepal - trekking & safari
The most exciting experience! Living life very basically but gaining "real life" living in Nepal with Earthbound Expeditions. Content of the 12 days tour was just amazing and jam packed - excellent value for money!
Guides very caring, helpful and friendly.
Hotels basic but adequate - no posh frills but clean (by Nepal standards). Showers/running water sometimes a problem but again part of the experience.
Everything very well organised and great care taken of customers. I always felt safe and very looked after.
I booked a tour through Groupon and am ready to admit I was slightly nervous despite checking the Trip Advisor reviews - there really is no need to be! Before my trip even started Tarek was providing links to the information I needed to know (read it) and he was helping me organise and book additional trips. In the introductory meeting Rajan manages expectations and says to set them low...I can guarantee if you do, you will be more than pleasantly surprised as the quality of the guesthouses, levels of comfort etc are really good (the Grand View in Tadapani is a real standout). Throughout our trip Rajan seemed to be the man always connected no matter where you were in Nepal; every connection went smoothly, even with road side drop offs and tourist bus pick ups. Post trip I moved to a different hotel and Rajan was still incredibly responsive at organising a hotel airport pick up for me. I really can't praise the logistical organisation, accessibility and friendliness of Earthbound higher.
On the trek itself, you cannot fault the guides or the porters, they are some of the most friendly, helpful, caring and supportive people that you can meet. Our group split throughout the trek and walked at their own paces, it didn't matter where you stopped or who you left, the team could advise approximations of where you were. If you're lucky enough to have Shree as a guide you may even get a funny joke or two (a Nepali version of an Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman). Give it a few days of trekking and you truly understand Nepali flat, a little bit up, a little bit down, and 'easy' - I'd book again with Earthbound in a heartbeat.

Dear Mr Rajan,
We just wanted to say what a wonderful Everest Base Camp trekking vacation we have just had with Earthbound Expeditions last month. Our questions prior to the trip were answered very quickly by Tarek which gave us a good feeling about choosing your company for our first trip to Nepal.
Upon our arrival it was easy to find our driver outside the airport and we were quickly taken to the hotel with no problems. This was great when you are arriving in Kathmandu for your first visit.
A big thank you to our guide Apar, who was awesome. He was always watching out for us on the trek ( I was the slowest in the group) and checking to see how we felt each day. Our meals and accommodation were always well organized and any problems were quickly dealt with. The porters were great, really friendly and always smiling. Roc was our porter most of the time and he did a great job.
We highly recommend Earthbound Expeditions for travel in Nepal. Your company met all our expectations and more, and made our vacation a very memorable experience. We hope that in the future will be able to do another trek in your beautiful country and will definitely choose Earthbound Expeditions to make that happen.

Earthbound Expeditions: Excellent Company

This is a review of our recent trip to India with Earthbound Expeditions.
Earthbound Expeditions ( http://www.enepaltrekking.com/ ) is very well regarded for their tours and treks in Nepal but are less known for their tours in India as a search here in TripAdvisor reveals, and they are apparently also active in Bhutan, Tibet and Sri Lanka. We went on their 11-day Holi Festival tour in March which was specially promoted through Travelzoo, and visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur. There were about 80 of us altogether (four buses), in our group we met many wonderful people from Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland,Brazil, the US and Canada. Overall we found the tour and services were excellent, everything was as advertised, the places and sites visited were well chosen, the hotels and transportation top-notch and we had a fabulous time.
Although their head office is in Nepal, Earthbound Expeditions is well organized and have a local presence in India and they responded very promptly to our e-mails. Our tour guide, Gajendra Sharma was the perfect host, a true ambassador for his country, very courteous and thoughtful who made sure that the entire tour went ahead smoothly and timely. Sharma also suggested alternative sights to ensure we saw the most interesting places in the short time available, and went out of his way to ensure that our group had a memorable time - such as taking members to his village to enhance their experience and appreciation of Holi.
Inter-city distances were long but the air-conditioned bus made the time pass by comfortably, we saw many of the usual touristic sights such as: tour of Old and New Delhi; the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in Agra; Fatehpur Sikri; Amber Fort, Palace of Winds, City Palace, Jantar Mantar in Jaipur; Brahma Temple in Pushkar; the Jain Temples in Ranakpur. Udaipur was especially memorable, here we celebrated Holi with the locals through music, bonfires, fireworks and the greetings with colours; we strolled along the Ghats and took a cruise around Lake Pichola, saw Lake Palace (of Octopussy fame) and explored Jagmandir Island Palace. We took the night train from Udaipur back to Delhi, this turned out to be quite safe and an interesting adventure.
The hotels we stayed in were modest but clean and comfortable, all offered complimentary breakfasts, all had room AC and fans, most had free wi-fi included, and some had in-room safes and mini-fridges. We stayed at Hotel Gulnar in New Delhi, Taj Vilas in Agra, Sugan Niwas Palace in Jaipur, Hotel Master Paradise in Pushkar, and the Karohi Haveli in Udaipur (see hotel reviews).
India is indeed incredible and we had a truly wonderful time there. Earthbound Expeditions was very professional in their approach, they provided very good hotels, clean buses and safe drivers, and had excellent guides and representatives which made the trip enjoyable, stress free and memorable. They are highly recommended.
We just got back from an excellent first trip to Nepal with our kids ages 8 and 11. I had initially contacted several agencies to make enquiries and got the best most prompt and thorough response from Rajan at Earthbound so decided to go with them. Definitely a good decision - we were impressed with the organisation and professionalism he provided from start to finish. He offered an initial itinerary which we adapted to suit our needs and was a private trip for just our family. Whatever we wanted to do was no problem to arrange. The hotels were all a good standard and very well located. We did a four day trek from Pokhara which was a perfect introduction for the kids . Our guide Namaraj was great, informative and entertaining. He even ran back an hour to our lodge to retrieve the kids' Kindles that were left behind! Thanks also to our porters Harry and Bhadri who held our kids' hands over the difficult bits whilst carrying our stuff. Even when we chose a different rafting company than Earthbound use, Rajan and Namaraj still arranged private transfers for us at no extra charge. It very much felt like the personal touch made all the difference. The last night included a special Nepali dinner which Rajan personally escorted us to. I would not hesitate to recommend Earthbound Expeditions and will definitely use them again next time, as there will definitely be a next time!
