Take an adventure holiday to Nepal Himalaya with one of the leading trekking companies, that is responsible , committed to environmental and social sustainability and make a diffrence.. !!
Beside travel and trekking business we also believe in our responsibility towards our society and good Karma (deeds). We have been part of various social activities & philanthropic events. Please take the time to read what makes us different than most tour and trek operators in Nepal. Making a difference through tourism. Being responsible to maintain or improve the environment and culture. Helping Orphan children and the needy in Nepal. We, Earthbound Expeditions, have been helping many helpless people over the past few years. We have supported the Buddhist Child Home ( BCH) in Boudhanath, building schools in remote regions. We have involved in many social work like tree plantations, health camps, children sponsors, social awarness etc. We are proud sponsor of the Nepal trek of overland-underwater.com, a charity drive from UK to NZ for CARE international in 2006.
You may be interested to learn that we just finished building school (4 rooms) in the remote village of Darkha, Dhading north of Kathmandu for 82 poor students; it was great experience to be there with villagers. The organization that contributed the fund is called www.handsinnepal.org and Earthbound Expeditions (me) coordinate whole program and put some about USD 460 as donation, plus me and my staff volunteered in many ways.
The whole project cost was about USD 8,000. You can read the whole beautiful story at http://www.handsinnepal.blogspot.com/. If you or some of your friends want to help such kind of charity that will be always welcome, we have been approached by other villagers to build the school which we will start in Dec - Jan this year.
We have decided to give 3 % of our total profit to the social organizations. We trust giving to a worthy cause like this with good heart and pure motivation generates vast amounts of Positive potential and that makes the diffirence. We have been helping many volunteers for the placements in schools, care house, health project etc.
As an adventure travel leader specialising in tailor made journeys to south asia Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, India, Sri-lanka and Vietnam, Earthbound Expeditions support to care house, orphange is an expression of our commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism and support for the communities we operate tour in.
Since 2004, through donations from our clients, friends, families, and communties we were able to give over $6,000 to BCH - Buddhist Child HOme ( an Orphanage) and other community based projects. (see below our works).
