Once again you have succeed in giving us a most excellent trekking holiday in Nepal. Annapurna in '98 was fantastic- Langtang in '99 was equally magnificent. We had great time with a great team. We enjoyed every second of the time. Looking forward to seeing you again. -- Sue and Dave 23 summer Lane, Brixham, Devon- TQ5ODL, England, UK Read more »

Trekking Highligths

Only a few foreigners are explored this region in the recent years. This region offers spectacular views, untouched natural beauty and friendly inhabitations

The Ganesh Himal can clearly be seen from Kathmandu Valley. The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, and Ganesh IV) stand out like crystal that is the "Great Himalayan Chain" forming the skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Budhi Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli Khola in the lower section. You will see real Nepal in this trek, nothing has change so it is great chance to learn about real Nepal and enjoy the our traditional culture.

Ganesh Himal Charity Trekking

Trip Overview of Ganesh Himal Charity trek - tekking in nepal for good cause

Join us this fantastic camping trek to the nOrth of Kathmandu called Ganesh Himal - named after Elephant headed God of fourtune. Lower Ganesh Himal trekking is a cultural trek par excellence, without a doubt one of the best treks in Nepal to see real Nepal. Oddly, it's also one of the Nepal Himalaya's least known treks - non touristic.

A trek around the Ganesh Himal is a step back in time, a glimpse of pristine Nepali villages, a walk through a remote Himalayan Panorama. The diversity of the trek, from the Hindu middle hills to the Tamang dwellers and the awesome mountain scenery of the Ganesh, Manaslu Himal and surrounding peaks combine to make this trek one of the most interesting, as well as one of the most beautiful treks in Nepal. The 4400 meters Sing La is just one of the high points! This is a classic camping adventure of a life time as you will be supporting the Charity.

This Ganesh Himal charity trek itinerary combines adventure and kindness we call it fun plus resposibilities, providing you with lasting memories of the Remote Himalayas while allowing you to contribute to a remote community within Nepal. We believe in creating awareness in areas that Media coverage doesn’t, for us, every individual counts!

From your participation in this trek US$100 per person is donated to the HANDS in Nepal Foundation, a non-profit Foundation, which main objectives is Educate the childres, establish and implement long lasting sustainable education systems with community development that impact isolated areas of Darkha, Kimtang, Jharlang villages (eight villages and over 12,000 poor people in total) which are located in the Northern part of the Dhanding district of Nepal. Money will go to built school, teachers salary, librabry and building toilets.

Dhading is located North from Kathmandu. Our carefully designed Ganesh Himal Charity Trek itinerary will allow you to visit above mention villages and participate in the projects which are currently supported by HANDS in Nepal and Earthbound Expeditions ( see our work).

The trek to unique unmatched environment, as relatively few trekkers visit this area a year, making your experience more unique and unspoiled. You will be greatly rewarded and feel a great sense of compassion as you trek into the remote village to experience the everyday life, visit the school, meet with locals and see just how isolated the area is.

We believe that through our guidance children will learn to be proud of what they can achieve rather than ashamed by what they cannot accomplish. Upon completion of the trek, if want to contribute further through network contacts to raise more awareness and future sponsorship or make an additional donation it's greatly appreciated. Please visit HANDS in Nepal Foundation Website at www.handsinnepal.org for more information and the project that Earthbound Expeditions supports.
