As one of the newer paths, Lemosho grants the beautiful scenery, low horde, and mostly high summit success rate.

The trek continues steeply sloping into the heather and moorland zone. For the first two days, the trek goes through the rain forest to Shira Ridge. Then the trail passes the entire Shira Plateau from west to east on a pleasant path and connects to the famous Machame route at Lava Tower. Next, the way heads down towards Barranco Valley via the alpine desert zone and traverses the Barranco Wall. The summit attempt is made from Barafu early in the morning all the way up to Uhuru peak (5,895 m) for the mighty sunrise view. After the summit, the trail descent via the Mweka route.
