Kali Gandaki River Rafting - 3 Days

The black River 4 to 6 days rafting in Nepal
The Kali Gandaki, west Nepal’s Himalayan river is a terrific medium length river journey, combining great whitewater with some of the prettiest scenery in Nepal. Both experienced and novice rafters will love it. The village terraces cling precariously to the slopes and surreal snowcapped peaks hang suspended above us as we drift through the world’s deepest gorge. Being one of the holiest rivers in Nepal every river junction of the Kali Gandaki is dotted with cremation sites and above ground burial mounds.

  • Day 01 : Pokhara – Nayapool - Modikhola

Kaligandaki river mostly start and end in Pokhara, so if you are travelling from Kathmandu you need to add 2 days.
We drive from Pokhara to Nayapool. The distance between Pokhara and Nayapool is about 70 km. The distance can be covered within about 4 hours’ drive. We would do camping at Modi Khola. At around 7 am, we drive to Nayapool. Have lunch at Nayapool and go for rafting.Overnight at Modikhola.

  • Day 02 : Modikhola – Purti Ghat

The second day of our rafting starts from the camp site at Modi Khola below the village of Purti Ghat. While on rafting in the river, we would also observe the calm and spectacular scenery including views of Mt. Annapurna I and Mt. Himchuli. The campsite is organized at Purti Ghat.

  • Day 03 : Purti Ghat - Mirme to Pokhara

It is the last day of our kali Gandaki rafting. While returning, we penetrate into the holy village called Seti Beni on the way. It would be interesting to watch house sized boulder in the confluence. For the kind information, the confluences are considered holy in the Hindu mythology. Hence, the local people pay their visit on the confluences. Now, it is time for us to start our journey to back Pokhara. From Mirme, we take our bus to Pokhara. It is the distance of about 105km. which can be covered in a normal drive of 5 hours.

There are some options for YOU after completing this Kali gandaki river rafting. One can either drive or fly back to Kathmandu or drive to the Chitwan National Park for Jungle safari activities or can go for trekking in the Annapurna Region. Or this rafting can join after the Annapurna trek as well.
