Overview

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lhasa :

This Kailash Mansarovar yatra via Lhasa has been designed for those pious pilgrims who want a glimpse of the abode of lord shiva – Kailash Parvat and Brahma’s Lake Mansarovar.

Mount Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet is one of the most popular ultimate Hindu pilgrimage sites in the Himalayan region dedicated to Lord Shiva where every devotee wants to go once in their lifetime.

Earthbound Expeditions have been taking 1000’s of people from around the work to Kailash Mansarovar with love and care since 1999.

Take advantage of our knowledge and expertise as Earthbound Expeditions have been taking people to Kailash Mansarovar safely last 20 years. Everyone claims they do operate Kailash Mansarovar tour but many of them are booking agents only, they take some commission and hand over groups to local agents.

Spread out on the Tibetan plateau-like crown Mount Kailash is a magical mountain. About 46 KM from Kailash there is the giant lake of shifting colors – holy Mansarovar Lake .

A pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and a bath in the Mansarovar is believed to bring about salvation (Moksha) and wash away all the sins of a man, accumulated during his life.

Mount Kailash, which is believed to have been formed 30 million years ago when the Himalayas were in their early stages of formation, is one of the most revered places in the Himalayas, where many saints, Guru’s,  Masters, meditators, and seekers have been traveling for 1000s’ of years.

Mansarovar and Mount Kailash are two of the holiest pilgrimage areas for devotees of Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Bonism and many other faiths. Each year thousands of devotees undertake this journey through the mountains ( could be treacherous and rigorous) and plains of China (Tibet) or Nepal and to reach this sacred land.

For the Hindus, Mount Kailash is the earthly manifestation of Mt. Meru, their spiritual centre of the universe, described as a fantastic ‘world pillar’ 84,000 miles high, around which all else revolves, its roots is the lowest hell and its summit kisses the heavens. On the top, live their most revered God – Lord Shiva (Paramashiva, Kailashapati and MahaRudra) and his consort Parvati.

For the Jains and the Indian religious group, Kailash is the site where Shiva achieved enlightenment.
For the older, more ancient religion of Bon, it is the site where its founder Shanrab is said to have descended from heaven.

Over the centuries pilgrims have constantly journeyed immense distances to achieve enlightenment or cleanse themselves of sin, braving enormous distances, particularly harsh weather and bandit attacks. Today Earthbound Expeditions make this journey easy for you. As we have over 20 years of experience bringing pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar with love and care. We serve good hot food, take good care, give good equipment and comfortable hotel stay for your journey of a Lifetime.

Our 12 days Lhasa – Kailash Lhasa adventure begins with the drive across the Himalayas in the west Tibet to Holy Mansarovar Lake. Here you will join the throngs of pilgrims who for centuries, have converged on this remote southwestern corner of Tibet to circumambulate the sacred mountain, considered to be the center of the universe – “Sumeru Parvat ”

Kailash enjoys great popularity by the folk religion of Tibet. It is the soul of the country and assures protection for all Tibetans. The fountainhead of four great Asian rivers, the Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra and Karnali and the few mountains surrounding it, reveals Kailash for its mystique isolation and prominence. It is the most interesting geography and magnetic place to visit once in a lifetime.
